Learning Objectives:

• You can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g., personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment)

• You can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters

• You can describe aspects of your past experiences and events, your environment, and matters related to your immediate needs in simple terms. (This builds on A1 by incorporating past experiences and a wider range of needs)

• You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, making regular interaction with native speakers possible without strain for either party. (This emphasizes a slight improvement in fluency and comfort level in conversations)
